I came across this Car Alarm Pager that works with any car alarm system. Has anyone seen this before? Is this a good idea or a waste of time and effort?

Seems like a hassle to be carrying around a separate unit for just that feature. There are better products out there that do just the same and more.

So what's the best solution out there? I think either way, I'd have to carry 2 things. The nissan fob and what ever fob that comes with the 3rd party. With this, I retain the nissan fob and can just clip the pager to my belt.

There has been a lot of speculation on what to do with the Nissan key fob when using an aftermarket alarm or car starter. From what I've read it is entirely possible, either through your dealer or from a reputable local shop.
