I didn't get the keyless entry remote for my versa, and don't have power doors. My dealer said I can buy this, but is there something in particular that the alarm should have? Or are they just universal?

Would the remote engine start be compatible? as well as unlocking the doors? Or should I just ask my dealer???

Without power door locks, you can't use a keyless remote entry function. Aftermarket alarms with keyless features utilize the factory door lock wiring and motors to open the locks.

You can still get a basic alarm, which is better than nothing at all.

As for remote start, you need to have an automatic transmission and to check your local laws to make sure that it's not illegal to leave a vehicle running (in which case the device would, by proxy, be illegal to use)

you can also have them install aftermarket power door locks. Its usually $100 per door installed. They just wire up a servo inside the door then hook it up to the brain.
