Car acts like key is always in ignition.

New Q, new problems that I have never seen before.

Car starts fine, key is in good condition and had no issues opening any locks on the car. But when I remove the key from the ignition, the car beeps like the key is still there and refuses to lock the doors.

Went at it with PB Blaster and a dental floss cleaner last night to see if it was gummed up, but after 20 minutes of cleaning and lubrication came up empty.

Any ideas??

Guess no one has had this issue before, lol. Replaced alternator and am going to check relays and the such tonight.

But also looking to replace the Keyless module. Anyone know where it's located? I can't seem to find it in the FSM.

SO, come to find out that the shiftlock fuse is blown. When I replace it, it blows again. Would this cause this issue? I'll be hunting down the short this weekend.

where is shiftlock fuse? I think mine may be blown also cause I can still roll all my windows up and down without the car being and my doors doesn't lock.

never mind I found it, I checked the fuse it's good but I still don't know I'm able to let me windows down without the key being present in the ignition and my doors won't lock.
