i was hit from the back and it causedme to hit the suv in front of me...it was a four car accident which has me going to therapy for back problems 3 times a week

i dont know what kind of car im getting next either a s13 chuki s14 zenki or vw gti 1.8t mk4

I never been in either of these cars with the exception of the s14 of course.im a pretty big guy weight wise... 5'10 300 pounder.i fit good in an s14 i have no problems at all with comfortability.

which car has the best interior space from your opinion the gti 1.8t or the chuki?...it would be a shame to leave jdm but i always admired the 1.8t and i would like to try new things so please dont flame me for this i will always have love for the 240sx.picture of the 1.8t

Insurance is giving me $2500 which is what i paid for the car(that $2500 is not including bodily injuries)...but i will have around $3800 to spend on another car currently.do you have pictures form your accident?

First of all thanks for your concern its much appreciated.By what your telling me im thinking the mk3/4 has more space than the chuki it sure seems like they do i'll just have to test that mk4 out myself.

dude that sucks, VW's are good cars but if your looking to modify it then be ready for it to be more costly than a 240. i dont think you would have any issues fitting in one and being comfortable.

VW+German Engineering+Little upkeep+Probably really comfy-Expensive aftermarket-Car payment-Working on that engine is probably a b****

S14+You know the car+Easier to work on+Cheaper, and cheaper to modify-Nothing new for you-240s like to give you s*** [mine sure does]

Dont buy an S13, I am 6'1'' 190lbs and I barely fit in my car.

Sorry to here about your car. That sucks! Where did this happen at? I'm local and that's why I ask.

Get another S14 otherwise you'll be sorry you bought something else, plus you have a great crew of folks here and on the other 240sx forums that are always willing to either flame you or help the best they can.

mk4 is a major peice of s***. 1.8 turbos blow, the electrical problems will drive you nuts, and the window regulators fall all the time. f*** those cars.

Yep, vee dub FTL, Sorry but they make over complicated garbage any more. I had two friends with vw's I drove them both, hated them, one was 1.8t jetta, dashboard cought on fire due to electronics, and the other was a 1.8t golf, wich also cought on fire, and has recently blown up, he had bolt ons and barely pulled my ka, and it wasn't til like 125+ mph. lol

WTF is that? any car you buy is joining a bandwagon. There is a following behind every car ever produced. What do you want him to do design and fabricate his own car from scratch?

Considering the fact that I own both an S13 and an MK4 GTI (VR6 mind you), of the 2 the dub is a more comfortable vehicle. The dub does have a higher cost of maintenance, but as far as the modding goes, a simple chip will get you an easy 40 to 50 horses.

There are several 300+ horse GTI's on stock internals. It is not any more expensive to upgrade the 1.8T than to first boost/swap a 240 and upgrade from there. That is speaking from experience with both. The only real issue will be the stock soft suspension. The window regulator problems are an issue on early MK4's, but are/were covered under recall. I will admit, the GTI is more expensive to own, no doubt, but that does not keep me from enjoying it as much if not more than the S13. Hell, I am strongly considering selling the 240 to get into a MK5 GTI.

The way i see it is every car has problem eventually you will run into problems sooner or later no matter what the make and model is.The v dub in the picture above is a year 2000 and its an actual car in my area that a seller is holding for me and the s14's i have been seeing around my area are just as expensive as the gti(the good 240's that is,lord knows there are alot of sh**y ones). If i can get my hands on that gti i will buy it.and your right about the 40-50 horses from a good reflash of the ecu which is only about $500.

i love the sound of a vr6

I picked up lunch at Chipotle on Prince William Parkway yesterday around Noon. I also watched someones dog get hit by a Mercedes on the P W Pkwy yesterday but over by Route 1 near where all the apartments are. That damn dog did like three flips, got up, and hauled a$$. I guess he was running back home?

I would invite you to the weekly Chick-Fil-A meet in Sterling, VA this Friday but it looks like you don't have any wheels right now. There is a buddy of mine who is getting ready to sell a Green S14 Zenki that is stock. He lives over in Manassas.
