Well this thursday i got into a accident with some guy, it was his fault but apperantly he doesnt have insurance... so im paying out of pocket for this repair...

As far as i know the BUMPER can be repaint and stuff, the fender is bend due to the headlight was being pushed back into the engine comparment and the highlight broke as well....

Took the car back to Nissan for a estimate saying it will cost 1.6k for the REPAIR AND LABOR, and it will not include any hidden damage.

So... are there any like front bumper that fits a 2010 Altima? Or are we still stuck with the original one....
and also you guys know how we have the window lock button
Apperantly i tried it and the driver side window can still be moved up and down when the passenger side is locked. Is this normal? I just never paid attention to the window lock button.... until now since the crash was on the driver side, so it make me curious if the window lock button is screwed as well....

So what you guys think i should do?
Bring it to Nissan
or just some local body shop?
Either way i will still need to replace the ENTIRE headlight the outer plastic and the inner surrounding

wait, he doesn't have insurance?

Check and see if you're insurance covers you if you're hit by an uninsured driver, I know some policies have this coverage.

also, there's this magic thing that americans are in love with... it's called suing. If he's at fault, you'll win, especially since proof of financial responsibility is something that all drivers must have (typically it's insurance). If you choose to sue, get a copy of the officer's report (assuming there was a cop there) that states the other driver was clearly at fault to present as evidence and you're golden. If you didn't have a cop there to check it all out, well then you're s*** outta luck on this option.

Do you know what that windowlock button is for?
It's to prevent the passenger (typically children) from being able to roll their window up or down, the driver should still have full control over both windows. It's working just fine, so don't even worry about it.

nobody replied after half an hour? fire should have at least been dispatched, they're typically first responders to an accident scene. i wanna say bs about calling 911...

Takes forever sometime. I was in NY and my old car got broken into. Called 911, and waited 1.5 hours and nobody showed up so I left. On the way out, I saw at the other end of the parking lot there was a police station. Didn't make me any happier.
