cant take out my damn head unit from the dashboard...

the headunit support keeps clicking in if i loosen on side. how do i take it out? im also planning to install the headunit myself - newb<<<. any helP?

Are you talking about once you got the plastic center piece off.You got the 4 screwws that hold the brackets?Which hold the HU?Just loosen them it'll be fine then disconnect wires. Can you get any pics?

are you trying to pull the HU out of the cage, or pull the cage and HU out? the latter would be the easiest, plus if you are replacing the HU with a different brand you wont be able to use that cage anyway. just pull the bezel off (it just snaps off) and that exposes the 4 screws you need to use to release the dash kit (or ISO mounts, depending on how it was installed)

as for tips when installing, make sure you solder and tape every wire, and just to be safe i usually make a new ground.

well the cars 89 integra. and no pictures for the moment. well when i do take it off, which color goes with what? so many damn wires. anyone can give simple steps that a newb can follow?

Most hondas have a 10mm bolt in the bottom or back of the chassis holding it in.
