Cant Start Car! (red top sr20det) Help!

ill take any advice on this

recently when i start my car there is this sqeaky starting noise and one night i couldnt start the carso i replaced the battery the next day and its started up again but again with this sqeaky noise, this was about a week agoand juss last night my car wouldnt start again, im not sure what it could be, all the lights arent working so im thinkn something isdraining the battery, and i want to fix the bad start up noise as well.

sounds like alternator to me. you said you put in a new battery and then after a while battery lost charge? and squeaky being your alternator maybe???

yeah, sounds like a bad alternator, or your alt belt is not tensioned enough (loose belt will squeal/squeek). check the tension, and maybe pull the alternator and have it tested.

now when i put the key in the on position nothing happensno dash lights turn on (the small red ones) or anyelectronics worki had just recharged the battery for over a day and nothingi also checked the ground wire and that was fine

with something like this, theres not much for us to do but give suggestions. gotta go through and recheck everything that was hooked up. could be as simple as a loose ground somewhere or a internal wiring hell. gotta start searching and looking over, checking fuses, testing amps, volts, test the starter, battery, alternator, etc etc.

theres a ground on your alternator, make sure its hooked up. check belt tension because thats probably where your squeaking noise is coming from. Check the 75amp alt. fuse in the fuse box behind the battery. Check that the ground for your negative cable is tight on the inake manifold. Check all other engine grounds.

would the ground on the alternator not being connected drain the batterybecause when i removed the alt the first time to get it checked it wasnt connected, theres no bolt for it to be put on
