Only a couple of days left now. Its been so long without a car, my shoes are starting to fall apart. I can almost feel the shift knob in my hands, and the clutch under my foot. I can almost smell the dohc exhaust fumes and can almost see the shiny polished valve cover. Only a few more days. Yet, within these last few days, sleep escapes me for already the adrenaline is pumping. I want my 240 back, its been long enough. (almost 5 months). I can envision perfectly in my mind, the glint of the two tone paint, changing colors in the different shades of light. I cant wait to have my 17" nippon rims filling up the wheel well. I cant wait.

Man at least you guys have cars, my dad has put me on such a emotional rollercoaster ride, sure I'll buy you a 240, sure soon soon when we sell the thunderbird....well the thunderbird got sold, guess what I don't get to see a dime of the $1200 i got for it. To make things worse, I went out and test drove a local 240sx for sale, I have driven more than a few cars, even tho I only have my permit, but hands down the 240sx has been the funnest car I have ever driven. All the cars I occasionally drive are all slushboxes, I cant wait til I have a 240 to call my own. Ever since I drove that 5 speed hatch, ever minute of the day I wish I had that sexy hatch to jump in, drive down the interstate and forget all the BS that comes with being a teenager....It almost seems like my dad doesn't want me to drive......good thing I found a job that pays $15 an hour, but I am on call...so no guarantees. I hate being one of the few 17 year olds that don't have a car yet.... : \

Ive known the feeling, got that last winter.I had a similar withdrawal last summer when I took a two week trip to Europe. A few days into the trip I thought that I had over-extened my left foot climbing a hill or on coblestone streets or sumthing. Every time I would try to stretch out that leg, I got this stinging pulled muscle pain.I had left the car at a relatives house and I was a little worried that I would't be able to drive her home with my foot like that. Well, when I first depressed the clutch I felt a small pop and the pain was gone. Guess I just missed driving my car. I chased a Carrera down 294 to make up for the lost two weeks.

Yeah....i think that everyone who is passionate about something (ie cars) have to go through that "wait". I remember when i first came to fl 3years back i wanted a 240. I finally came into contact with one. But when it came time to test drive it, my brother drove it.....it looked beautiful....i kept asking him "how was it?" and "how did it feel?" and bull like that. We didnt get that one cause it ran like crap, but i didnt care cause i was willing to fix it up, but it was my mom's money so she made the decesion not to. But now.....i feel great.....after years of waiting for one, i finally have one and everytime i look out the window i see it and still cant believe it.

I think I have a better (true) story.

Been into cars ever since I can remember, 5th grade was when I got into imports, and the reason for that is I saw an FD3S with a clean bodykit, then I just picked up SCC and various other mags and began reading away. At the end of 6th grade I beleive, was when I started my love affair with everything Nissan, I wanted an S13 to be different (before I was all about getting an EK9/EG6 with B18C swap) so I read more and more and learned as much as I can, still learning of course, (fantasizing day in and day out) and then I turn 16 and I get my license. But heres the deal, I made a thread long ago and I almost had an MS13. Being that I am not well off, or my family, we cant afford buying a car, for myself anyways. Luckily for me, a few years back I inherited around 12k from my late uncle. To make a confusing story short, my Grandma, not my dad, holds the money, and she lives in Georgia, and we can't transfer the money w/o paying fees and whatever to another state. I can however ask my grandma for money and she will realse some of it, So far i have taken out $1900.00, and right now, I am asking for $1500.00. After more confusing things happen and a mild argument between my dad and his mom, they settle on me getting a job so I can pay for insurance and then I can have $1500.00 for the car. And thats where it stands right now. I'm a 16 year old with a license, no job, and have attended just about every (import) show that comes through w/e town I have lived in since 6th grade. There is nothing more that I want but my car and its so close. I have test driven 3 240sx's but, I just dont have the money. Oh yeah, I have applied at about 20 different places, and still nothing, no one has called. Damn this sucks.

edit: joined here in November 2002 so I could learn more, and I was 14 then.

my friend is in the process of the e to de swap, the motor is in there and supposed to run though.

the guy he had doing it is a 'tard and didn't want to finish it (don't think he COULD finish it) he talked big but really sucks thoroughly.

me and skwerel are hoping we can help get it running just so we can laugh and laugh and laugh (this loser has a small following of people, mainly ones that play that wretched Initial D arcade game) funny...
