s13 blacktop, stock flywheel, ACT six puck, DDS steel driveshaft, new oem slave, ss line (bypass damper), megan shifter

yesterday morning (cold outside), it wouldnt let me shift into reverse so i let it warm up and then it was fine. i had no problem with reverse after that. then this morning it wouldnt let me shift into reverse. like it only shift half way. so i push my car out and drove to work. 1st-5th gear are fine.

i thought the clutch damper was bad so i bypass the line. but still no good.

then i change the transmission fluid. a lot of metal shaving from trying to get it into reverse. but still no good.

then i took off the shifter. its looks good.

any suggestion or wear i should look at before i have to take the transmission apart.

can i also use ka tanny part such as the gear and the schinroz (however its spelled)

What kind of transmission fluid are you using?

get on some kind of incline and let the car roll back just a hair with the clutch pushed in and pushing (lightly) into reverse. My car can have the same problem in the mornings, not as bad, it allows me to go into gear, but its normally a little tougher in the mornings than any other time

P.S. I forgot I was in the SR forum - I have the problem with the KA - but could be same problem

Is the car difficult to get into first at a stop? If so, bleed your slave cylinder twice as long as you think you need to.

what i believe happen was the megan racing short throw shifter the plastic worn out on the inside so it was hard to shift. but any who the my transmission blew up afterward, the fork broke and the syncroz worn out.
