cant shift into gear while running

have changed clutch master and slave and bypassed the damper with a new hard line now I have about 2 to 3 inches of dead play in the clutch and still wont disengage. how do I adjust the clutch or do I need to replace the clutch help..

Go under the car and see if the shift fork is loose. It is possible it either popped off the pivot ball or the ball broke. That would cause a dead spot in the clutch.

It also could be possible the pressure plate is toast, but either way you will have to drop the trans.
