Well this is driving me bloody nuts (no pun intended).

I'm trying to install my r32 crossmember, but its kinda hard when the bolt on the old crossmember which is still on the car, has its control arm bolt somehow seized into the rubber it seems. Like i can reef on the thing and it turns slightly but the rubber springs it back into place if you can picture that. Ive torched the bolt to hell, ive sniped it up through the engine bay to try and break it free but it simply wont budge.

anyone got any advice? my next attempt is to torch the rubber itself through the bottom of the control arm but id really prefer not to do that.

I started to try to die grund a chunk outta the bottom of it. I just realized ill prolly have to take the entire arm off to press the new bushing in.

I'm considering ordering a whole new control arm with bushing and balljoint already installed and being done with it... only 89 bucks from autopartsonlinecanada.com.

i normally end up using a wrench on a 4ft piece of pipe to crack them loose...proly have to cut the bolt off now and just replace it.
