cant open rear hatch glass?

i put in the key in the back hatch but it will not turn. is this a known issue of any sort I have not found yet? just got the car yesterday, only one key with a nissan key fob even though it's a 01 QX4 so i am wondering if it's a aftermarket key good enough for doors and ignition but maybe slightly off for the rear glass lock? my other guess is rusted stuck? is there any other manual over ride?

i only see a button for the whole hatch there. trying to just open the glass window part.

omg, i just checked and i am a major noob. pulled that lever and pop, glass opens. i was sure that was for the whole hatch! still can't turn the key to do it, but don't really care, the button will do just fine! TY.
