Cant open door from inside

My 1995 Nissan maxima's driver side rear door wont open from the inside but i can open it from the outside. What could be the problem, and will it be a cheap fix. The car is already got over 240,000 miles on it. And yes i mad sure that child lock was off and doors are unlocked.

I would remove the door panel and check the linkage for the inside release lever.

Do YOU have Child safety Locks on you doors??? Check I bet U bumped in to it and the lever on inside the door panel is ON not OFF check that. That happen to me too....
