cutting the wires will cost you a min. of $170 for a new one on ebay. Its better to take your time and do it right, or have someone help you that knows how to do it. Other than that, your just costing yourself money.

It shouldn't be that hard to do. All the harnesses that run through the firewall into the cabin only extend about 2'. Perhaps you haven't fully removed one of the connections and that's the reason why it won't come out.

I'm also trying to remove my wiring harness. This will sound dumb, but should I be pulling the harness from the engine bay? I didn't start the swap, so I'm not familiar with the hole in the cabin. Will the part that attaches to the ecu clear the wall?

Thanks in advance,Brian

It will be much easier to pull the harness from the engine bay. Just make sure everything in the interior is disconnected.

I believe there is a pop clip/zip tie on the harness. I had a very tough time getting my KA harness out of the car. I finally pulled enough to break the clip, but it is near the 90 degree elbow in the harness.

Also I just made sure the harness had slack on the inside and pulled from the engine bay.

I finally got it out. It's just a matter of wiggling it outta there. My biggest paranoia was not seeing a clip and ripping it out.

Thank You!

The motor does have a front main seal leak which is easily fixed when the motor is out of the car. Main wire harness was cut behine the #4 plug, inbetween the engine and firewall

how much is this gonna cost me to have fixed? anyone?
