Ok so here is the scoop. i just finished my rb swap in my 91 s13. i replace the clutch master and the slave cylander. for some reason i cant get it to bleed i have been trying for hours and nothing. i have a friend push the clutch then ill open the bleader then close it then he will pump it and ill repeat it. the most wierd thing is is that if u pull up on the clutch pedal and let go it gets sucked to the floor, like there is suction in the line. i have tried a vacuum bleader and still wont work. is there a trick to the 240s? im to the point of giving up im so close to driving my car for the first time but cant if the clutch doesnt work lol. oh and if you pump the clutch fast the slave cyl will move a little but soon as u stop it will loose all pressure. i checked all my lines and they are all tight. any sugestions would be greatly apriciated thanks in advance

When I had to bleed my clutch line, I just attached a hose to the bleeder valve and sucked on the line and that got the fluid to start bleeding though.

fluid comes out of the bleeder but no air. i was just doing some research and im thinking that it could be the clutch damper? should i just bypass that?

Yes bypass it, I bypassed mine while switching clutches and I'm glad I did.

If you're going to bypass the damper, you might want to upgrade the line first.

the ruber line or the metal lines? everything is brand new besides the metal line from the MC to the damper. new MC, new slave and new ruber line.

I wouldn't suggest bending the line unless you are absolutely sure you can bend it without kinking the line. It's very easy to do it wrong, and sometimes it will work for a while even when it was done wrong.

Yes, replacing the rubber line with the stainless steel line that other guy recommended is what I was talking about.

ok well tomorrow im going to try bending it myself i have bent lines like that before its not to hard and ill order the new line in a week or so if thats what the issue is. i just need my car to drive by the next couple days or i will be out of a car till this is going. so its most likely going to be that clutch damper? the thing that seems to through me off is why would the pedal get sucked back to the floor if you let go of it? i have never seen that happen before and have bled plenty of clutches.

ok i canceled out the damper and it worked great it bled in about 5 min. but i ran into another problem and need some advise on. after i bled the clutch i took it for its first test drive and only made it about 100 yards before i heard a loud bang and the car started viberating like mad. we pushed the car back and looked to see what it was and my carier bearing got ripped out from under my car it destroyed the mounting holes and cracked my transmission, the transmission i can deal with and fix its small enough to where i can weld it but how the hell am i going to fix the carrier bearing mounting holes it ripped it up. i have no idea how that happend but what i was thinking of trying is drill out the holes through the floorboard and getting a steal plate weld the blade to the floor and get some high strength bolts and try that? idk what do you guys think about that? any other sugestions?

Damn that sucks.
You're talking about the bearing that holds the middle of the driveshaft to the car right?

If you're willing to lay down the cash, you can buy a 1 piece driveshaft which no longer requires the middle bearing.
