so i purchased new pads and rotors for my s14 se and i cant seem to retract the piston far enough to fit over the new rotor/pads. i read that turning it clockwise will retract the piston will draining the brake fluid but idk why it wont fit! its probably a couple cm of clearance that i need. anyone who knows whats up with the piston let me know

i think u need to use a c clamp to retracted the piston. Then there should be room.

double check to make sure they gave you the right pads/rotors. sometimes its for a different car or maybe they gave you the front for the rear or vice versa.

you probably have to turn the piston all the way so that it's flush with the inside caliper surface. good luck.

For front, you need a C-clamp to push back the piston. For rear, you need either a long nose pliers or the square thinggy with pegs sticking out to turn the piston.

press the piston in. they will fit. like everyone said, fronts just use a c-clamp with slow pressure. in the rear, the piston needs to twist in so you dont damage the caliper, so use some needle noses in the notches, or a caliper tool.

i had same problem, but realized soon that i'm just stupid.. make sure your putting the pads on the right way..there is a notch on the back that needs to fit on inside by piston. that was my problem..

Make sure to take a little fluid out of the MC too.
