about a week ago i was reading a thread and they were talking about boosting the KA with only a t25 running around 6-7 psi max. and that with that setup you could basically run the motor stock with a wideband o2, minor tune, etc. was a cheap/easy setup to run boost. anyone know which thread im talking about? of it you could tell me what all i would have to buy to do this? sorry for the dumb post. i did search however. but when you type in "turbo" there are just too many threads to rifle though...

find:

*T25 or T28 turbo from an SR*SSAC bottom mount manifold off ebay.*SR20DET front mount or sidemount Innercooler kit*Either buy a wideband, safc and 370cc SR20 injectors, or buy a 8:1 FMU and run stock injectors, retard timing 2 degrees*Walbro 255lph fuel pump*SR20 Dump pipe, and SR20 Downpipe*Oil feed and return lines*Probably at least a boost gauge, stock boost will stay around 7psi with the T25, but a manual boost controller wouldn't be a bad idea.*Blow off valve of your choice, ebay ones work fine

And that's about it.. other random crap like vacuum lines, oils, gaskets, bolts.. You'll probably make around 210whp on 7psi from the T25. And shouldn't be more than $1000 unless you buy all name brand stuff.

thank you. thats exactly what i was looking for. im only lookin to make around 200hp for the time being anyway until i get another motor to build so thats perfect. i heard that if i run a bov with such low boost it can cause the car to stall? not sure if thats correct or not

That's what the SAFC is for. You can set up the Decel. Air and it won't stall. Without it, you'll either have to recirculate the BOV or not run one at all.

ya im gonna pick up the 8:1 fmu so i can run stock injectors (i just replaced them). should i still run a wideband? and im assuming with this setup bov is a no-go unless i recirc it
