Lately my 92 coupe has been running really rich, goes through gas fastern than a blown 454. i know that leads to a lot of problems, mainly gumming up of valve seats and residue on the spark plugs, which only makes it worse...anyway...i pulled the ECU and checked the trouble codes...the only one i got was 55 - everything's ok, but everything is not ok. I am wondering what it may be....when i went to Mode II with the engine on to check the EGR function...the light blinked erratically, staying on for a few seconds, then blinking real quick then staying off for a few seconds. I am wondering if you guys have any ideas as to what may be causing the problem, because now i am having stalling problems.

PCV valve maybe? or EGR is shot? bad fuel injector? oil change? or maybe i need to take it somewhere to get it scanned.

check your o2 sensors they will cause gas mileage to decrease.

its gona be more then your pcv valve and an oil change, although those are not a bad idea. i would recomend checking the coolant temp sensor, fuel injectors (pull spark plugs, see if any one of them is covered in gas), check the maf and it's ground.
