i just got a 1991 240sx and havent had it for a week and the motor is pulled and i cant decide if i should rebuild it and turbo it or if i should just get a sr20det. while pulling the intake manifold off i found some valves that was cracked and a few other minor things that i would have to do to rebuild it. i have about two grand to throw at this project and just cant decide what to do. any info you guys have to share about swapping or rebuilding and then turbocharging it would really help out tremendously. if you found a reliable cheap turbo kit let me know about it. this is my first 4-cyl. zer...d=130# iv driven nothing but gm v-8s the whole time iv been driving. lol thanks for all the help and info zer...d=130#

turbo the ka. thats my opinion. check out ka-t.org if you have any doubts about what it can produce. they have a ka with a turbo running 7's. sr is a fun motor but the ka already has forged internals and if you use diff pistons you eliminate the ka's weak point. stock internals with 200,000 miles and a turbo on a ka is still a rock solid motor and can run ten psi all day. i have a friend doing that with an altima right now, that car has been boosted for the last eight years and no problems with internals(stock) currently has 225,000 miles and all the pull it did from day one. ka is a beast motor and i feel that it doesnt get enough credit for what it can do.
