Last weekend my brothers and I took the canoe out on a local creek. It's really only meant for 2 people, but after we ran out of shallow water/banks for the 2 runners, we loaded it with all 4 of us. There was about 500+lbs in it but we were able to handle it pretty well. We only had to get out once to carry it over a series of shallows.

I wish i had pics but i'm also glad we didnt bring a camera as it would have gotten pretty trashed and/or soaked.

anybody else do any back-creek canoe fishing?

Never really fished off of a boat. Did go kayaking in Gaspe a few times and loved it. The small rapids were awsome but the big rapids scare the **** outta me.

I've been, but so far the only place I been around is still water spots like reservoirs. Its very quiet and calm if you're the first to get out.

Canoeing looks fun, but I'm afraid I might drown...

we have had a LOT of rainfall here the past month, the lakes are all up by at least 10 feet. the closest is within 5 feet of the lower dam.

the creeks are also swollen and im ready for another canoe trip, hopefully without the poison ivy this time.

i will try to get some pics.
