Cannot Hear Navi/Bluetooth Audio off factory 06M35x

Hey all,

I noticed that I could'nt hear any audio from my Navi/Bluetooth on the factory radio. I went into the settings and seen that the navi voice and bt audio features were off. I selected them to be on but still cannot hear anything, any ideas? My M got some custom sound work done to it but nothing I believe that will interfere with these as I can still play cd's out of the stereo and only new speakers were added to the doors back and subwoofer. .

Do you have the 14 speaker system and if so, is the factory Bose amp still in place as a pass through? The Bose amp MUST be used as it switches between nav/bluetooth and the head unit output (there are dedicated inputs for nav/bt and hu and the amp switches which one to use -- that's why the radio goes away whenever nav speaks or you are on a call). I know that for a fact. I would assume it is the same for any of the other stock radio systems but can not verify.

Hey Dean & thanks for your response. Not sure if I have the 14 speaker system but it is a M35x. A switch was installed to kill the sound system and only use the dashboard speaker. I will contact the former owner to know for sure to see if the bose amp is still a pass through. Thanks again!

If you have the 14-speaker system, you will see speakers on the front seats near the head rests. If your front seats do not have speakers on them, you have the standard sound system.
