I have a '04 coupe with 38K and it takes multiple tries to fill the tank. Also and maybe not related but I have this noise coming from the tank as if I have a loose baffle.Has anybody had this fixed and what was the cost?Anyplace else besides Nissan/Infiniti to have it repaired?I'm in Torrance. Thanks

You need to take your car to the dealership. There was a recall on the issue that you are having. I would call them first to setup and appointment and have them check the vin to be sure. I had the recall done a couple years ago.

I called the stealership today and they said my car did not have the recall notice. They apparently can tell from my previous appointments that I would have been linked to any TSB.

There was no recall for this, it was just a TSBThe TSB just calls for replacement of the shutter valve. I did this to my car a month ago because I was having that issue.I was going to post a How-to Video, but steve didn't want to be my cameraman... Anyway, its a 17260-AM600 part number. You need to have like 1/8 tank of gas, as little as possible.

No, its quite simple. remove back seats, remove fuel pump and sender unit, stick hand in gas tank, remove shutter valve, replace with new one. It only takes 15 minutes .
