Apologies if this has already been asked/resolved, but my search on these forums did not come up with any results.
I have a Canadian market 2010 G37xS with the updated front (fog lights on the lower fascia) so now the DRLs are the xenon bulbs instead of the 2006-2009 headlamp cluster mounted fog lights. The problem is, ALL external lights are illuminated (parking, indicator and most aggravating of all - tail lights). The ONLY difference when the headlights are in the "on" position (or triggered on by the Auto function) is that it illuminates the interior lighting and switches on the fogs (if selected).
I called my dealer and they've indicated that ALL Canadian 2010 Gs have been designed this way. I understand that some cars use the xenon bulbs as DRLs (Mercedes-Benz C350, VW GTI, etc) but at least they are wired to not have tail lights on. Is Nissan Canada THAT lazy to not re-wire the cars properly?
Is there any non warranty-voiding way to defeat this? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If Infiniti won't own up to it, find some other place that can rewire it for you. Pretty sure its possible because I just got DRLs installed and it uses my Xenon and my tails are not on.
