I want to install canadian driving lights on my '93 S13 and use the parking-light switch to turn them on. I know i basically have to wire them on the parking-lights line. Has anyone done that or does anyone know if it will cause overload or bust a fuse?

please help :help

daytime running lights come on anytime the car is running and the ebrake is disengauged. when you turn your lights on parking or headlights that circuit shuts off. you would need a controller for the lights to work. Weather or not the car is wired for them already I dont know.

Its not that i what DRLs on my car per se, i just want to wire the canadian lights to serve as driving, or auxiliary lights. Basically when i manually turn on the orange parking lights i want the Driving lights to be turned on as well.

Kinda like hooking up fog-lights and operating them with the parking light switch in conjunction to the parking lights.

Exept the canadian driving lights are only 27W.

My basic question is can the parking lights circuit/wires/fuse handle the additional 27W load of the newly added lights?

to tell if your wired for it go to your turn signal wire in the bumper and locate its connector follow the harness back from that connector is the next branch off the harness not plugged into anything? if not that is your daytime running light connector and would indicate the car is wired for running lights. but again you would need to aquire a daytime light module.

Yeah, there should be a wire/harness that runs to the high beam taps into the high beam wire. Disconnect that and it should be disabled. If you want to get rid of it let me know, my car is missing the drl connector.

i couldn't find the high beam tap like you said. i just unplugged the high beam bulbs but it just made the other bulbs brighter. if you could show me a picture of the taps that would be great.
