Canadian daytime running lights

I'm buying a US Infiniti G35 Coupe 2006. I need to install daytime running lights before going through customs. I would like to know the easiest way of doing this to meet Canadian standards.

I would duggest downloading a FSM and look at the wiring diagram. Don't know if the US ones have DTR as a latent feature.

Didn't the US get the Canadian Curse in the early nineties, so GM would no longer have to bear the brunt of manufacturing two electrical systems?I know some of the disabling procedures are rather arcane. Re-enabling may be similarly absurd.
