I saw the sig looks like your getting a crazzy Zcar.
I loved my 1986 300ZX it was amazing as far as handling goes..it just needed some more juice under the hood. 169 hp LOL
The Turbo only got like 196-211 HP WEAK by todays standards.
but yours should Kill all.
Hows the Bimmer going?
I'm waiting to hear back from Texasoil about some new struts. The rear left leaks a quart a month it starting to add up @ 16.00+ a quart.I wanted to get all four struts and the other 5 accumulators before installing it.. I also need to get the harness shipped from Japan.
I have the cash for the harness and most of what I should need for the new struts but am a little unsure about ordering from Japan on an auction. I signed up for an account with Rinky (Thanks Wes)but I could not find the part once my account was ready to start bidding on Yahoo Japan.. and I haven't heard back from Texasoil with prices for the struts.
As for the Suspension controller..I want to install it REALLY REALLY I just can't untill I get the harness.I would even install it with the leaky strut but I can't mod the other harness its like night and day if you compair it to the Toyota Soarer (sister to the LEXUS SC400 not sold in the USA with Full Active suspension)
I love the Z31s too Jeremy! To tell you the truth, I almost bought an '86 turbo Z last week. It ended up needing a bit too much work, otherwise I'd have myself a small car lot... A friend's turbo Z31 is now pushing over 300rwhp on the stock motor and he's been doing it for a year, which was my inspiration to get one an older Z as well!
Thanks for the comments on the new Z32 btw! If all goes well, it'll be arriving in 5 days! I'll make sure and post up a long thread about it once I get back.
The Bimmer is still in pieces if you can believe it. The parts are there, just been wayyyy too lazy/busy to put much thought into it. I'll undoubtedly end up scratching the project though I simply loved driving that car.
As far as the accumulators go though, there has been a great deal of discussion on recharging them yourself as of late. You should seriously look into having those pre-drilled accumulators recharged by a local shop. It'll be VERY inexpensive and should save you a few hundreds! Talk to ScottJackson or BluntSmoker (I hope I got that right)... they can hook you up on instructions as far as getting those pre-drilled and tapped accum's go!
Don't forget our deal! As soon as you get that controller installed you *have* to do a write-up about it!
Take care man and best of luck with the Q!
