can you use a 10x1.5 shift knob on a 10x1.25 thread pattern?

Hey guysI found a pretty good deal on a blox neochrome shift knobso i'm just wondering what my title says

can you use a 10x1.5 shift knob on a 10x1.25 thread pattern?

is there any way to make my thread pattern fit?

there is a way, you open up the knob and try to remove the thread part. sometimes it comes of and then you get those plastic cup universal things that replaces the thread.

These things are $50-60 new, $35-45 used. Not worth the trouble IMO, just buy the right one.
