Need to tow my 240sx on a car dolly, choices are:Front wheels down with steering wheel locked using a tie down to the brake pedal. I'm worried the front bumper will hit (RSR race springs).
Rear wheels down with transmission in neutral.
The car will be towed around 200 miles in this configuration. I will not be reusing the transmission once it gets where it is going, so if it suffers damage its not that big of a deal, however, I'd rather avoid that if possible. The clutch I will be reusing. I am not there to drop the driveshaft or I would. The car is going to be towed by a friend of mine who is doing me a HUGE FAVOR just by agreeing to come get it, no way I can ask him to drop the shaft in the snow. Will it be ok? The guy at the Uhual place told me that its only automatics that need to have the driveshaft disconnected, but their own literature recommends that you drop the driveshaft for all RWD cars.Reading online, I haen't found any speicifc information for the 240sx, but it appears that for some cars it is recommended and for some it is not. Please help me out guys! Thanks,Andrew
