actually there are a significant amount of threads about this topic, so keep on searchin grasshopper. But from what i've read ive heard its a *****, but i dont think it can be that bad.

although you'll get a tits compression ratio, i believe 11.1 or 11.3, either or. i hope you have at least some 92 octane. plus sometimes i wish i had a E because there are way more N/A parts in the aftermarket. Maybe instead of buying one head, just get a sweet cam, you only need one...

It cost more then buying a junkyard twin cam and takes a lot of work. Not worth it in my opinion.

I have an SR going in soon, but my buddy located another 240 for me. I was contemplating taking my E and throwing it in the new-old 240. My ride only has 70,000 miles on it (so the newly acquired one would get a frsher motor)....not bad for a '90....the newer/old 240 is an 89 with around 200k....which was why I was trying some different ideas out for that one....I always liked the DE and I would enjoy having one turbo car and one NA (a KA24E with 11.1 compression froma head change sounded great...but it seems it's not as simple as bolt, add a few wires and troubleshoot so still not sure I wanna go that way) car....When I found out about the compression ratio change by switching heads I was a little more inclined to look into it more (still doing lots of reading and searching). Thanks for the help bro's....

for a while there were a few people working on this...it seemed so simple yet never quite worked. It seems much easier to just drop e-pistons in the DE for the same effect...

Yeah if what your after is the compression then just take out the E pistons, notch and balance them and drop them in the twin cam. Now you have higher compression and oil squirters .

And yet another option appears!!! You guys rule! I think this is a more viable option than working with the head swap....

I tired and failed, I don't recommend it way too much work. If I could have done it over I would have put the E pistions in a DE motor. Which I still want to do in some other Nissan.
