OH SNAP! HE DID NOT JUST PULL OUT THE 2.8 S-10!!! hahaha

that was my first vehicle ('89) and my fourth('93 ext cab). 2.8ltr, 5spd . Stock it was a grandpa truck. After a Dual friction Centerforce clutch, ADS computer chip, Power pulleys, K&n intake, TB spacer/helix, Splitfire plugs, 8.8mm Accel wires and MSD coil, Lakewood traction bars, 15x8 (Camaro rally 225/60 Kelly Charger white letters), and my own custom exhaust (hollowed cat and using a fire extinguisher for a muffler chamber, lol) , i smoked a 97 and 98 Mustang GT. I had a huge load of garbage heaping over the top on the second run... i know it sounds ridiculous, but it was funny as hell. Should've seen the dudes face. angry and confused.

i kinda want another one... but those parts are probably impossible to find anymore, and other interests take precedence now.

Lol. I had some guy in one try and race me a while back (don't know what engine it had) it was pretty funny because I floored it and the car went to 2nd and 2000ish rpm but he was right beside me until I hit 4000rpm then it was all over, the guy kept looking at me with his girl probably trying to figure out why the hell he never heard one shift :rotfl he probably thought he was doing okay at first but didn't know I was in the 2k region at first.

You should have got a video of the *garbage hauler sleeper* beating up on some stangs, that would have been big :dblthumb:
And talk about peoples faces, you should have seen the faces in that new 5.0 lol! They were like :wtf2: .. ha and still wont run the Q again  but they think it will beat me, when it didn't. . Twice lol I guess they should have had their tune on :lolling:

haha.. i wish i could've had video of it, but it was an impromptu race, as i was on my way to the dump, and in 2003 the word cameraphone didn't exist, lol. I went to high school with both guys previously. The "garbage sleeper" was the ext cab, and that mustang guy (97) had a wealthy family, so he just went and bought the Kenny Bell S/C package the next week, literally. And the other mustang (98) looked super nice, but all the other friends in the car club picked on him for it being the slowest 'stang in the group due to his high rear end gearing. He sold the car shortly after.

So to be fair, i never saw a stock 4.6 mustang do any real impressive racing, but the new 5.0 i expect a little more from. You need to get that bastard at the track and tape it. HA.. listen to me- "tape" it.

Turbon8er, you need an LS-10 - V8 and no weight ;)

cheap 5.3 or 6.0 truck motor + LS manifold, plus intake and exhaust

Back in my college days I had an 89 Maxima SE, 5 speed with everything bolt on you could possibly due to it to squeeze out a little more out of the NA VG motors. I ran a 4.6 from a stop light once and had him by a nose to 60. He had several people in his car and didn't know how to drive - but that just made it all the more fun whipping him!

You'd need an early G50 (90' always seemed to be the fastest to me) and start the race at 50 mph. Top end... that's where the Q shines best. It is very easy to reach 150 mph and beyond in those things.

Well I wonder if you have any weight reduction in your Q. The mustang is about 400 pounds lighter and has more torque. The Mustang should be faster if it is driven properly.

My car weighs 4000 with me in it. When we raced both cars had two people, I've got the back seats out so they dont get damaged as I don't use them, they don't weigh much anyways, but everything in the trunk is taken out. The car is probably 3900 -dry-.

The scale I take tge car too isn't the most accurate some times it says 4080 with two people in the car and sometimes the same with just me. // it's a scrap metal place so they pay you vs the weight you lost and I think they always put it in their favor= try to rip people off.

I got to hit up a better scale to know the weight for sure. But I would bet it's around 3900-4000 with me in it.

On the way back from the track I got the re-match. Only problem was she had the tune on this time. But for the first little bit it was meh.. I wish she would turn the tune off but that would be like asking me to take mine off lol. So for a modded 5.0 I guess it was okay.

Just looked it up and her intake alone is good for 11rwhp and 11wrtq, wonder what that with the tune she has puts it at,?

Oh Christ... The crazy Canuck is back. Hey spaceboy... I have 470 at the wheels, DOCUMENTED and I have a hard time with them. Your 14+ second car is out beating on Mustangs... Sure it wasn't a 4.0 Mustang?

 ..I never said I beat the new 5.0-

It's the same one I raced before olny now she had her tune on and probably a safe bet to say she's making atleast 30hp over a stock one, I pull on a new 3.7 no problem.

That race was pretty bad for the Q I guess but she is definitely making more power than a stock one.

Well.. figured out my problem why the car was dieing off after 5500 real bad. Retarded the intake cams and holy f :rotfl

It just pulls and pulls right to the revlimiter. Lowend is a tiny bit worse but it more than makes up for it.

I had to have my cams turn off before around 3500rpm. But now 4900 seems to work good.
Highly suggested.

You can see in my 0-60 video and with the stang when she started pulling hard on the Q was right when it ran out of air at 5500ish rpm.
I'll give up lowend any day for such a huge gain up top.

Here's the other video from that same night. You can clearly see where the cam settings cause the Q to hit a wall in 2nd as it was before. But up until then she didn't really pull on me hard. I had my arm at the window and waved when to go. I'm pretty sure I'd almost pull on a stock 5.0 as the car is now, hopefully get a re-match today. I was talking to here about her tune and she gained about 6mph in the 1/4 which is more then I thought she would.

+ I just got the ecu figured out so it pulls just as hard no matter what gear it is in with good afrs

According to a calculator (est) her car should be around 459hp with the tune on. Her trap speed was 116.xx.
