Can you replace the subwoofers in the back of a 1999 q45 for more powerful ones?

I have a 1999 q45t black on black. The stereo system is great and it even comes with subwoofers. Is there anyway i could just take it took a local audio shop and have them removed and put in new subwoofers with ALOT more power. If not, will it sound decent if i just get some subs and put it in my trunk?

i wouldnt see any reason you couldnt do that... Just replace it with the same size sub, use a regular amp that has speaker level inputs, and you should be all set...

He's right. They're not subwoofers but full range speakers. They just have a nice bottom end.

You can add a line level subwoofer in a separate enclosure, or even an infinite-baffle subwoofer in the rear deck if you can get around the rear sunshade.
