I really don't like the orange gauges in my 2006 M35x so I was wondering if I could swap the cluster with the blue/purple gauge cluster of a 2008 or newer. If so, my 2006 has adaptive cruise and lane departure alerting system, does this also come into play? Would the 2008 cluster have this by default or were the gauge clusters different depending on options?

Thanks

Steve

im pretty sure they will still work because your only changing the cluster, but it wouldnt match, cause rest of the car is still orange/

Did you end up change the cluster? If does it work still. I changed out the ac controller with 2008 and it failed terribly shm... I was thinking of switching the instrument cluster as well if there isn't any conflict

So you weren’t able to change the temperature controller ? I’m swapping the one on my 07 with an 08

I did this 5 days ago. The cluster and clock are plug-n-play. The ac nav board won't allow the features to work. As I've gotten into it, it's a lot of switches out the front door sills are plug-n-play. And the steering wheel it's that freaking ac board that's the problem. I've purchased an '08 ac module to try, but haven't installed it yet. I will let you guys know.
