In an 18" tire with a 50 profile for a G50, i woiuld not go any narrower than 235.elwesso wrote:225-50s would work pretty good... 26.8 OD vs 26.1 so thats close enough.. I dont think id go a whole lot wider than that
A little short, and many do not meet the minimum OEM load requirement.DoinkMobb wrote: 245/40/18 will also work. . Just make sure it's the proper load rating.
Don't think they will fit on an 18" wheel. While Michelins are fine, I really don't like short tires.qship96 wrote:I would go with a 225/60/15 PilotExalto....
Brian, just consider the 225/60/15 {135MM section height} compared to the 215/65 /15 {139.75MM section height} as a 4.75MM LOWERING JOB!!Who needs Eibachs with these!!!! OH the STANCEmaxnix wrote:Don't think they will fit on an 18" wheel. While Michelins are fine, I really don't like short tires.

Personally, I think you would find 245/45-18 a better combination with at least an 8" wide wheel or 255/40-18 with at least an 8.5" wheel.
Size alone is insufficient to decide. Load carrying capacity, UTQG rating, and actual construction and quality control must determine if the tire is sufficiently strong to serve its duty. Very few are on a G50. Read the tire sticky in Infiniti General.
225/40 are way too short and way too low a load rating. They are unsafe and should be replaced immediately.
What is the major difference you experienced between the 245/40 and 245/45? The 245/40's are lighter, cheaper and have a nearly insignificant gearing advantage. But you are giving up .5" of tread width.elwesso wrote:

The 245-45s if more expensive are worth the money over 245-40. Ive had both on my Q and the 245-45 are hands down better. They are the perfect size for the Q.
