A little back story first. I have had the Stillen Gen 3 intake installed for about a year now. I decided to get the Stillen Exhaust installed about two weeks ago. Then for the final piece I ordered the Cobb AccessPORT (Thank you RED_DET!) so the car could be tuned to run properly with these modifications and adjusted for altitude (Highlands Ranch, CO 5500ft or so).

I looked for Pro Tuners around my area and found MAC Autosports. They have very good reviews and experience with Nissan and Infiniti. I called them up and set up an appointment for this last Thursday. Here is a link to the dyno they use: http://www.macautosport.com/index.php?o ... &Itemid=35. Nick there was awesome, but it turns out I was the first X they had ever done. Out of all the VQ35HR engines they had done I was the first to bring them an X, guess I'm special... Anyway it was supposed to take 2 hours to complete the Pro Tune with a baseline run and a final run on the dyno. It turned out that they couldn't run the car on the dyno because of the AWD system and the front and rear wheels not spinning at the same speed on the dyno (I may have misunderstood that part), but basically it came down to running it could mess up the cars AWD system.

Nick said he had done hundreds of these engines so he knew where we wanted to be. It took about 4 hours (instead of the 2) to complete the tune and he test drove it for about 1/2 hour. I can tell you it 'feels' quicker and more responsive, the throttle response is definitely improved, and mid range power seems better. All in all I'm happy with what Nick accomplished but it would have been nice to see some actual numbers.

So after all that rambling the question is, can a 2007 G35X be dyno'd?

They have been dyno'd many of times. Just do a google search and see how many videos are at there of x's on the dyno. Glad you are enjoying the Cobb.

That's where I am confused too, from their webpage it says the have an AWD dyno - Dynojet 248/224? So I didn't know if there was something special about the X that didn't let it work on a normal AWD dyno... It sure doesn't look like there is...

Just gotta have the right dyno. Not a lot of companies have them. They are more expensive.
