Can you identify this wire? (pics)

I had an electrical fire a while back and my signals have not worked since. I want to make sure that this wire/switch coil is the reason.



I dont even get the green arrows or clicks on my HUD anymore.

btw thats a copper coil inside the melted plastic piece in my hand.

s13 or 14 and where exactly was it located. looks kind of like a relay

Its a 96 S14, Sorry for the bad pics and lack of info, was kinda in a rush. Its located on a bracket above the brake pedal

If that used to be the flasher unit then it would be the reasion for no turn signals.

Was this part the reaion for the fire or a victim

Someone on another forum said its the flasher unit for the signals. Now I have to find someone who can get me that part. and the 95's and 96's wiring are so different, so I may have to look for a 96+ partout. I rather find someone locally parting one out and thats rare around here. (bronx)
