My Murano is broke down with a blown center bearing on the drive shaft. Its going to be a couple of weeks until I get the replacement. If I leave the yoke in the transfer case and disassemble the universal to remove the driveshaft, can I drive the car with front wheel drive??

Welcome to NICO!

Common sense would dictate that you could get away with doing that, but with newer cars, its definitely best to ask around!

You might want to take a look at the FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your Murano. We provide them free to members. Just click the link in my signature and find your year.

I'll try to get you more help.

Yeah if you can keep the yoke in so you don't leak fluid everywhere, you should be ok. All the speed sensors now are on the wheels, so you shouldn't have any anti-slip problems.

Beautiful!! just removed the shaft and took her for a drive. Seems fine. It looks like the yokes are bolted in. A big nut in the center.

Good deal. Maybe someone at Nissan was thinking of this exact situation when they designed it :)

Just back from a 400km drive. The car worked great. Even chirped the tires at the traffic lights!! LOL
Thanks Papa smurf for the help.
