can you change the factory in dash to the factory navigation

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

just wondering if you can swab your regular none navigation system to the infiniti factory one would this be possible just asking. or second option can you just change the in dash to a aftermarket on like pioneer etc. but with touch screen and navi i know the factory size is 7" so i see there are aftermarkets brands with the exact size.

I know the 7 inch screen swap has been done on a lot of Nissans but you run the risk of losing your Infiniti Information Screen. As for retrofitting the Infiniti Navigation, it could be possible even some people believe its not possible. But I would imagine the parts alone would cost easily $3000+ and wouldn't be worth the trouble. If you had put an aftermarket screen, you would loose the Infiniti Functions and Info display and/or would have to keep it tucked away behind the radio somehow. That's usually how it was done with the other Nissans, I know many people did it for the 6th generation Maxima's for sure, but then again it was a lot less complicated too and it seems the newer infiniti's you have more too loose as far as factory functionality because there is so much in it. If the loosing the factory interface is okay with you, then I don't see how a little creativity won't stop you.

Update: Maybe this will help you a little bit?

the stuff i dont understand with infiniti is they give us a rear view cam but no navi why not throw in the extra right. but i have a connect that can get me the factory navi system for cheap instead of infinti charging me thousands of federal stimulas money, i just dnt want to get it and then it dnt work because i no i would have to change the buttons from the none navi to the navi system except the steering wheel.

The price is purely a rough estimate but I couldn't imagine being off by too much, like always dealers set the price high and these type of parts. Yes, I have the AWD Journey package, I always assumed if you purchase an AWD with their "Journey" package it would come with something extra, but there are always sub packages (Tech Pack and whatnot) to everything for thousands more. I would have at least expected the around view monitor as a basic package since a camera option had been standard. They also removed the standard roof rails (Purely for aesthetic purposes for me though) that came on their most basic models in the 2008/2009 models.
