Can you change out the Bose head unit in an 09 A/C?

I called the dealership and they said that changing it will for some reason make the car not run. Something about all the connections being in the radio..? Anyways, is this true? I'm a noob so don't hate on my lack on knowledge hah.

If you look around in this section you'll see many people have replaced their head units in their A/C. The dealer is yanking your chain.

the dealer is an idiot, you'll be fine... but you won't be ableto control bluetooth from the steering wheel anymore.... alsom you have to leave the blutetooth module plugged in in the trunk if you want to use the PAC unit and retain steering wheel controls
