OK, I think I see that, in any case this is just splitting hairs. The two are near identical products, both of which are not sold anymore.
But the red lights do show a good picture, you can almost see how they are made. These are no longer made but perhaps you can work something out. I know a guy who once got his hands on some aircraft grade aluminum for a project of his. The clear pieces appear to be glued on, you can see that torwards the leading edge, plus there are screw holes on the four corners and trailing edge. The next part would be wiring and making it nice and watertight. I suspect that's where the glue comes in. It's used less for holding and more for water repellant.
I actually think that you can do these mostly with handtools, if you are willing to put in some extra time and intelligence.
