I was wondering, how hard would it be to attach an alternator to a lawn mower engine? My friends and I are working on a "project moped," and we're gonna try to put an alternator on so the light's don't die after 10 minutes of use. It's gonna be pretty awesome after we're done. Anyway... how hard to attach the alternator?

frankly. . i've never thoroughly checked out a lawn mower engine but. . . .

if you can mount the alternator in such a place that you can hook up a belt to a pulley (that probably doesn't exist) off the crankshaft of the engine then . . . sure. . . no problem. . .

the alternator really isn't that complicated. . .just go look under the hood of your car and you'll get the idea

Thanks, we're just exploring it as a possibility. Didn't even know if it was possible or not.
