Can You Add Nav ?

So I just got my G37 S as a present (lets say entering grad school?) and the thing is I kind of want to add a nav and maybe a stupid camera (maybe). The nav, I need, cause when I go back and forth to California; I know for a damn fact I'm going to get lost some where and be too stubborn to ask for directions and as a female it's some what dangerous at night? Well yeah, story goes on, I had to have to blue slate, the thing about this blue slate is that there is no camera no nav, but has the sport & premium pkg.

So in the end, the dealer said it's impossible to get the nav added on... Well the dealer says a lot of things, so please help?

Unfortunately, the dealer's right.

You can always get a portable nav unit like a Garmin, but you won't be able to integrate it with the car's controls.

The dealer is right. If you want the navigation package, the car has to come that way from the factory.

Two alternatives that will work and might actually be a better bargain:(1) Hand held unit. Garmin is one of several manufacturers. Check out web sites of mail order GPS vendors.(2) If you already have a notebook computer, you can buy map software and a GPS receiver from Delorme. That's what I used before getting a G37 with navigation.
