I just want to change color to yellow, not the whole gauge.

That may be laborsome. Eventually, someone will crack open their gauge cluster and modify or swap the parts responsible for illuminescence...

I have see this done, but with blue LEDs.

Here's a pic so you can see what its like in blue.

The easiest way would be to take off the dash. You have to remove the Orange layer(very thin) of plastic on the back (sanding/polishing). Use a color/tint to overlay...or else you need to solder in the color of LEDs that you want.

Good luck. I haven't done it but if I get some time I want to get around to doing this. If I do, I'll create a DIY.

no real DIY's around

you need to get some PLCC SMD (thats what the guy who did the blue lights used) and solder them in place of the stock.

I want this exact color on my gauges... when I buy an F430...

If you don't like the color of your gauge cluster then just close your eyes when you drive.

It just doesn't seem worth the time and effort IMO.

Take out the dash, mask off a circle, and paint it with a yellow tinted paint. Done...

Oh wait, but if you don't want to change the lights, you're going to have orange/yellow lights on yellow bg

They are....I like my dash. The numbers are white, but there are blue rings around the base of the needles and around the bases of the other knobs. It is really sharp looking IMO.
