It doesn't work that way with the Power FC. There is no input for a wideband. You have to use a dataloggit or something similar if you want to read a wideband. You can, however, just turn off the narrow band 02 function in the power FC and put your wibeband where the narrow band went.kevwa wrote:i have not used a power FC but i would assume it would work - you should just have to change the settings on the power FC so it knows to read the wideband gauge - at least that is what i had to do for the megasquirt computer
+gawdzilla wrote:you can but it is not recommended. you will shorten the life of your wideband. the wideband sensor isn't meant to be mounted that close to the turbo outlet. usually widebands are recommended at least 12-18 inches from the turbine exit.
to answer your other question, yes, most widebands have a narrowband simulation to mimic the stock o2 sensor. if you want to only run one o2 sensor it is definitely possible. just don't put the wideband so close to the turbine
Have the shop weld in a bung downstream in the down-pipe for thew wideband.streeteg wrote:best to keep stock narrowband the stock distance away from the turbine
shouldn't really matter. why not just leave the narrowband where it is and add an extra bung for the wideband? when you're done tuning you want to remove the wideband, just take it out and put a plug in there.streeteg wrote:So if I get my exhaust redone- I should put the Narrowbad stock sensor 24-36 inches away from the turbine outlet, so once i get tuned w/ wideband I can just replace it?
Or, is it best to keep Narrowband stock distance away from the turbine?
