can the sohc vales be adjusted on 2.4

I'm working on a 1989 240sx and need to know if the valves can be adjusted?

I don't think they can, but someone needs to confirm this.

Are you refering to some clatter under the hood. It is proly the lifters and they are hydraulic so they are self adjusting but sometime they require shims to adjust the valve train.
