Can the 'Base' model install roof rails & x Bars ?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Anyone know if the Base model can install the roof rails + X bars? Based on Infiniti website, no such option was available. But I don't see the roof being any difference b/w the Base vs. the Journey. Can someone confirm?

if the EX didn't come factory installed rails, you can't install them afterwards.I've try to purchase the roof rails from the dealership, they told me it can't be installed. the original factory installed rails have reinforced roof.besides, u won't want to do that. cus each rail will cost around $400, just parts alone will cost about $800, not include installation costs.
