i want to see how far i can go on the stock internals. but i am willing to change them our if i need to later. t28 from skyline, jun cams, haltech standalone, 700cc injectors, metal head gasket, i am going to boost 24 pounds or until the turbo stops working lol. 3" exhaust from turbo back. and i am going to hold on to my *** and see what i can do to shut up some of the SR owners around here...and if i dont get 400 with that then i will be talking to you dee about a stroker kit.....i will hit 400 in the 240....promise

If that's a T28 from a GTR with a Cremaic exhaust wheel, it's good for spooling up, but past 17psi you'll be wishing it was a metal wheel :)

I'm hoping 350whp will be reasonable on stock internals, I'll be undergoing a project like yours soon :)

Hey Tim,

That turbo will not support your thirst for 400hp! It will run out of efficient air before 300hp. You have the right fuel equipment, but a wimpy hairdryer. The CA needs more turbo unlike it's bigger displacement family members.

yeah i figured that. I think i am going to change it up with a t3/t4 in the future but i am going to see what i can get out of the t28. i got a friend that just moved back into town that can make manifolds so when its time if noone makes a manifold for the t3/t4 i am going to have him make it. the reason i have my goal set at 400 is because i want to get into the 10 second 1/4 mile times and i think with 400 i have a good chance at it.

I still wouldn't mess with the T28 man. I'm using it cuz it will work for what I'm doing, but if I was looking for big #'s I'd put a GT2530 on there in a heartbeat. I really want that turbo...

Float: How much do you think a GT2530 would be good for on a CA?

I was thinking more on the lines of a GT2535...

I think they're good for the 350-400hp range. I think 400 is in it's upper range though. For those kind of #'s the 2535 might be better. I'd actually go to a T3 turbine housing personally, but that means custom turbo mani, downpipe, and external wastegate. Nice, but expensive.

haha, thats one way to do it. i dont think youll have a problem going with a t3 manifold, plenty of people can get them if you need one. it shouldnt be any more overall than a gt series hks unit either. for turbos there are really only 2 that you should consider for your goals - the gt25r and the 53 trim (?) t3/t4 hybrid. i think those are the 2 everyone has agreed upon to work best with our engines.
