Can't wait for my '07 M45 Sport!

Just recently joined; really enjoy the open forum! Very helpful. The more I read, the more I can't wait for the arrival of my M45 Sport! It is a December production car and should arrive sometime in January '07. I have driven BMW's (5 and 7 series) and currently have a MB E500 Sport. These are great cars; however, after 3 years of so, they start to develop problems. Have read some much great things about the M45 Sport, I just had to give it a try.

what int./ ext. options?

Ext. color is Liquid Platinum; Int. color is graphite leather with aluminum trim. Option added is the Technology & Advanced Technology package.

I just ordered an M45 Sport... tech pkg/advanced tech phg/rear spoiler.

I am getting the Diamond Graphite exterior and Graphite interior. I was realy torn as to getting the Liquid Platinum extrior like you did. Every car I ever owned (11) was silver so I am trying a slighty darker exterior color. It was a hard decision. Like yourself, I'm looking forward to getting this car.

I made the same switch. I had an 03 E500 and recently bought an 07 M45 Sport. You'll be very happy with your decision. The first 1000 miles came very slow, so I couldn't wait to get on it and see if it was as strong as the Benz. With just 1200 on it now I can tell you it's definetly as strong, if not stronger, and the handling is hands down better. Here are some pics...

Just like you, it was a hard decision between the Liquid Platinum and Diamond Graphite; although I finally decided on the Liquid Platinum. I too, have had most of my cars in silver.

Thanks for your post and the pictures! I am hopeful that the 07 M45 Sport will be a better car than the 03 MB E500 Sport. I should be getting my car within the next few weeks (HOPEFULLY!!). At least there is one person like me who is switching from the E500 to the M45! Your opinions are very much appreciated!!! THANKS!

Just got word from dealer that my car is on the boat from Japan and should be here within 2 weeks! It's been a long wait; however, from what I've been reading here on the forums, I'm sure the wait will be well worth it!!!

UPDATE as of 1/27/07: Just received word from dealer that my M45 Sport should be ready by 1/31/07!!! FINALLY!!! It's been a long wait!!!

Good! It has been a long wait for you to get yours in.

Break the engine in properly (frequent oil/filter changes and reasonably hard driving) and you will get better results.

Thanks for the tip! It's been 2 days since I got the car; all I can say is that it's just AWESOME!!! Unbelievable power and such luxury! I still can't get over how roomy it is inside compared to my MB E500 that I had. Just got my windows tinted last night. I'll probably take pics when the weather gets better and I'll post it here.
