Yep. New member getting the beast tonight. Test drove M35 sport then M45 sport (something told me I knew better) on Wednesday. Dealed on Thursday after they found what I wanted. Dealer transfer from Chattanooga, TN to Tallahassee, FL on Friday. Back today. Liquid Platinum Sport with black/aluminum interior. With Tech, Journey and Aero Kit. No kids (this is the kids college fund) so I skipped the rear DVD. So I wake up at 4am to take the dogs out. Lay back down. Remember back to a time when you were 6 on Christmas morning and you tried to sleep? I'm remembering right now. I'm just hoping the transfer driver is getting on the road as I type. I'll get my baby with 12 miles on it.

So my wife has her FX35 and now I have my M45. I just couldn't wait for the new G35 coupe. I'll work that out after my 3yr lease is up if I can part from the M. Now maybe.. back.... to...... sleep!

My grandparents have a 2003 M45. I love it, it is the best car I have ever driven. Plenty of power ready all the time and the most comfortable ride ever. Definately in my top 3 favorite cars. You will be very happy with it.

Awesome!!!

I know the feeling - I bought my DREAM car (03.5 G35 6MT Coupe) on 11/28 and can't pick it up until 12/26...

Sleep deprivation indeed!!!!

Reply I must! Sleep good!

My dad was already coming up to visit on Saturday. I had managed to get back to sleep around 8am and woke up at 11:30am and had a message from the dealer saying it was in and ready to pickup. The tough part was waiting for my dad to show up at 1:30pm. I debated having it in the driveway when he showed up but I had a different plan. I hadn't told any of my family about the car yet (except my wife).

He showed up and we talked a bit (but not long of course). I said we should go down town for the evening. Since he doesn't know the roads he didn't know we were heading toward the dealer. My dad's a 20yr BMW guy and our BMW dealer is next door to our Infiniti dealer. So we stopped by the BMW dealer to look around. This was after I discussed my new found knowlegde of how the M outdid my cars in various tests (C&D, MotorTrend, ect.), including the BMW 5 (which he had before his current X5). He knows we have an FX35 so we wondered next door. As we passed the cars out front I was telling him "this is the G35 coupe, this is the G35 sedan, this is the Q, this is the QX..... and this is mine" as I pointed to my new silver bullet. He gave a "yeah right" look. I just stared at the beauty. My wife looked at him with a "he's serious" look. My dad's jaw dropped.

My sales guy secured his first sale (not bad moving a $56k car). The other guys proceeded with the ceremony of cutting his tie. They told me some guy came in for the first time that morning, saw my car out front and ordered an M45. The aero is just plain SWEET!

When I called my brother to tell him, my dad told me to tell his that he should consider the M. Yes, my 20yr BMW dad said that. My brother is planning to get a BMW 3 coupe next fall. He'll dump a load when I take him for a spin.

So I'll conclude my thesis on how frikin' excited I am. I'll figure out how to post pics and do so soon.

That was great... "this is the G35 coupe, this is the G35 sedan, this is the Q, this is the QX..... and this is mine" Best part... Sounds just like something I would do.

Congrats! Hope you will like it for years to come.. I know from driving the 2k3 that I would...

I was even going to give the new BMW 3 a test drive. As well as the Lexus IS350. I passed the Lexus place because I really wanted to drive the M and it was getting later in the day. Wow! Somehow I just never managed to get over to Lexus or the BMW place. And the BMW place was right next to Infiniti. Close as in have a G35 parked 10ft from a BMW 3. Funny how that works when you test a diamond of a car.

"He'll dump a load when I take him for a spin in the M"

HAHA! That should be in our brochure!

Look forward to seeing your pics. The aero is just so sweet!
