can't shift out of park withoutusing shift lock overide
when i depress the brake pedal the slip light, VDC light, and ABS light all come on at same time and won't realease the shift lock

Check battery, alternator, and neutral switch and all related connections.

think i figured out problem. also realized brake lights not coming on. think it's only the brake pedal switch or related wiring that works the switch

That has to work for the shift lever to work.

Check and see if you have brake lights......
