Can't open fuel-filler cap!

I bought a new 09 Versa SL HB last week. My gas is running out so I went to a gas station. I tried to fill the gas tank but I faield to open fuel-filler cap. I followed the procedure in owner's manual "Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove" but no luck. Is there anything I should be aware of? Or it's just a defect?

The problem is gone.I visited my dealer again. My sales just opened it without difficulty. I can open it easily after that.Thanks for your advise.
